Week 97: Corpus Christi

Well the transfer has come and gone. I am now on my last transfer. This week was super awesome. We worked super hard. Elder Moss and I are going to stay together! It's going to be an awesome transfer!!
Jessica and her boyfriend Neilson and there 5 kids Jonathan, Chastity, Victor, Nickolas and Neilson all came to church this Sunday!! It was such a huge miracle. Please pray for them. They have a date for the 26th of June to be baptized. I'm super duper excited for them. They are going to help me finish my mission strong. I know that God prepared them for Elder Moss and me to teach and to baptize. My goal of the mission was to baptize a family and here they are!!

We are teaching another cool guy named Cristian. He is from Peru! But he is living here by himself. He is super smart and observes everything that we teach him, but he works all the time so we can only go by once a week and he can't make it to church. But he will get baptized in Peru when he goes back. We are just preparing him! He is awesome!!

Week 96: Corpus Christi

Well this was an amazing week!! On Tuesday we had a little down time and we didn't know what to do so we said a prayer and I felt that we needed to go and visit one of our members so we went and knocked on his door but he wasn't home but his neighbor's were outside so we went and talked to them and they are a super prepared family! It is a mom with her boyfriend and then five kids!! They are super amazing! We had two really good lessons with them and they are going to get baptized!!

We also got a phone call on Thursday from Garry! He found the church through LDS.org and talked to a sister misisonary in Utah and he wants to know about the church. The only problem with him is right now he lives at like a half way house but it's also a church and the pastor there won't let us meet with him! But he is super awesome and super prepared!

This week was full of so many miracles!! I love being a missionary so much!!!!

Week 95: Corpus Christi

Well this was a super good week!!
The leadership meeting was super awesome. President Maluenda is so amazing. He talked about how we make things too complicated sometimes and we really need to focus on keeping things simple. That was something that helped me a lot. He also talked about taking care of our bodies. That was a super awesome training. President Maluenda is super inspired. He also gave all of us blessings!! It was super awesome to receive a blessing from such an inspired man.
This week was super awesome! We taught some great lessons. On Sunday church got rained out... It was super weird. But luckily we took the sacramet. They are redoing the roof on the chapel and the workers forgot to put tarps over what they were doing and it started to pour and it started leaking and then the lights started to fall off. It was an unforgettable moment!! Things are going great!! I love being a missionary!!!

Week 94: Corpus Christi

Well I love being a missionary!!!

On Saturday night we were about to wrap up the day and we decided to go contact some referals. We went by one that was outside and started talking to him. He said that he had been praying all day for a sign from God on some things that he should do in his life. We talked to him a little bit about the holy ghost and how he can have guidance from God during this hard time of his life. He was super receptive and wants to get the gift of the holy ghost and change his life! I love being a missionary and finding people that are praying for us! This is truly the work of the Lord, no one elses work!

Have an awesome week!!!

Week 93: Corpus Christi

My birthday was pretty good!! We just did the regular routine nothing special! There are two elder Moss's in the mission but I don't think my companion's mom is on the page. I will tell him to tell her to join. His Spanish is super good! He is pretty smart and picks things up super fast. He is the third just like me! We are exactly the same! There is a ton of less active members in 1 st ward and not a ton of active members. A lot of the work we are doing right now is with less active part member families. There is a lot of them! We don't have anyone that is progressing very well right now though. The ward loves the missionaries and we help out a lot!
This week was pretty good. We were able to find a lot of new people to teach! On Thursday the bishop and I were doing splits and we found a cool part member family. They have a ten year old that is not baptized. We talked to the grandma and the dad. The dad and the mom of the kid that needs to get baptized are getting divorced and the mom is pretty against the church. So it is going to take a lot of work to help the kid get baptized but it is possible!!
