Week 62: Laredo-Casa Blanca

Well the Lord wants me to stay in Laredo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have another 5 weeks of the Laredo fun!!!! I'm super excited.

This week was a pretty good week. We had a pretty awesome miracle on Saturday night. It was 8 and we were going to visit a less active family. We rolled up to their house and the neighbors told us they weren't there. So we were like shoot what should we do? So we decided to ask the Lord. So we prayed and the answer was obvious! Go talk to the neighbors. So we did and they are super cool! We just talked for like twenty minutes and then shared a scripture and they invited us back. We are going to teach them! They are a super cool family. I was thinking about this experience and I think the Lord has a sense of humor. We have said hi to this family proably twenty times but it never dawned on me to try and teach them. Not sure why. But I was thinking about all the times that I have prayed and we have asked for the Lord to guide us to the prepared people and they are right under our noses.

The mission is amazing. I love everything about it! Elder Weight and I have come up with a new motto for our companionship! Carpe Diem! It's latin for "seize the day!" We are not going to let a minute of the Lords time slip through our fingers!!

So there are 8 elders in our district, and then the two zone leaders come and eat with us as well. Elder De Piano is our new district leader. He is really cool, then there are two new elders they just whitewashed! They are elder Olsen and elder Pierce. Elder Pierce is a greenie. Then the zone leaders are elder Wasden and elder Vawdrey. They are all super cool! We are the ten missionaries that cover the English 3rd branch.

Have an awesome week!!

Week 61: Laredo-Casa Blanca

Well this was a great week! On Wednesday we had zone conference! It was super good! President taught us all how to not be awkward! It was super awesome! Then that night we had an activity for the Spanish branch! It was Mexican Independence day so we celebrated! There were so many people there!! It was awesome the branch is growing a lot! Also a less active family came and brought their daughter that is not a member! So we are going to work with her! It was super awesome!!!!!
Jeremy came to church so he is starting to progress. He really wants to change his life. We were eating at his grandma's house and some random guy just happened to be there. He told us that he wants us to baptized him! So we told him okay! He is going to start coming to church and get baptized! He is super cool!
I had a dream that I got transferred from Laredo. I'm pretty sure it's the first time that I have cried in a dream. Lets hope that dream doesn't come true and I get to stay in Laredo for one more transfer!!!!!! I love you all. Keep on keepin on!!!

Love, Elder Hurst

Elder Hurst got a selfie stick. Yah for mom. He said he wanted to send me 100 pictures this week. Not quite, but still I'll take the flood of pics.
