Week 101: Corpus Christi

Let the Holy Spirit Guide!

This week was super awesome. I learned the importance of the holy ghost so much! We have a less active family that we have been working with for a while. We have been doing tons of service for them and visiting them at least once a week. We went by on Thursday and I had no idea what to share with them. We said an opeing prayer and the spirit whispered to me exactly what I needed to teach! It was such a spiritual lesson. We talked about Matthew 16:19 and the temple sealing. I had them talk about their sealing and how they felt. 

Something that President Maluenda told us the other day also really blew my mind. He told us that when we partake of the sacrament we renew ALL of the covenants that we have made. I told the family that when they partake of the sacrament they are renweing the covenant that they made in the temple. They commited to come to church and they came!! They also brought their less active son and his family so we had a lot of people at church!! It was super amazing!!

I also learned the contrary. On Saturday night I had the feeling that we needed to pass by one of our investigators to make sure everything was okay to come to church the next day. But I ignored and they didn't show up. I have seen so many blessings in my msission from following the spirit and need to do it 100 percent of the time! Have an awesome week!!

Week 100: Corpus Christi

This week was super awesome! The time seems to slowly go faster and faster ever day. We did a Zone Exchange this week and I got to work in a different area of Corpus. It was pretty fun! We are teaching a lot of amazing people right now! They are all just struggling to make it up to church. It has been a challenge to get members and investigators to sacrifice and drive up to church.  But I know the Lord will help us out and we will be able to help these people be blessed by the gospel!! I love being a missionary so much!!

Week 99: Corpus Christi

Well this week was super duper awesome!! We found some super amazing people to teach! We were on splits and the elders quorum president took me to his sister's house and she is pretty interested about learning about the gospel! She is super cool and trying to raise three crazy kids by herself. I know that the gospel will help her so much!

This week we had zone conference. It was the last meeting that we are gong to have with President Maluenda before he goes home. It was super weird saying goodbye to them. I love them so much! But it's all good! We are teaching so many awesome people!!! I love being a missionary!!!!

Week 98: Corpus Christi

This week I had to start making post mission plans..... To start off I've been reflecting on my mission and planning all the people that I want to stay in contact with. It made me remember so much of my mission! I have loved being a missionary so much!!

This week we found lots of amazing people! We got a lot of rain as well this week and one day we were trying to stay dry and waiting for the storm to pass and a car pulled up to us and asked what we were doing. We told them we were waiting and asked if we could share a message with him! He said sure and we taught him! It turns out he is getting a divorce and got left with three teenage kids to raise! He is super awesome and needs God and is willing to listen to us! We have been struggling getting our members and investigators to travel to church. But we are going to keep working hard! This is the lords work!! I love being a missionary!!!
